Prof. Dr. Miroslawa Nowak- Dziemianowicz studied pedagogy and psychology at the University of Wroclaw, where she earned her subsequent degrees. From 1997 to 2017 she co-founded the University of Lower Silesia, where she served as dean of the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences from 2008 to 2017. Since 2017, she was associated with the University of Opole, where she served successively as: plenipotentiary of the Rector of the UO for the discipline of pedagogy, vice director of the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences for science, and director of the Institute of Pedagogy. Since 2018, she has been affiliated with the Business Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza, where she directs the doctoral seminar in pedagogy. She is also the head of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Contemporary Problems in the Humanities at the WSB Academy. This university is currently the primary place of work of Professor Miroslawa Nowak-Dziemianowicz. Education, upbringing, school, teachers are the first area of her research and scientific interests. The second area is relations between people, intimate relationships, marriage, family and everything that happens in them ” between”: spouses, partners, parents and children. All of the author’s scientific activity is subordinated to the question of what in our relationships with others promotes development and self-realization. The interdisciplinary research conducted by the Author is located in a qualitative research paradigm and in a broad socio-cultural context. Prof. Dr. Miroslawa Nowak-Dziemianowicz is a member of the Committee on Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where she heads the Committee on Educational Policy and the Section on Critical Pedagogy. Privately, she is a wife and mother of two adult children. She has published the following authoritative monographs: Marriage in the face of divorce.
