Prof. Ledia Kashahu
Dr. Ledia Kashahu (Xhelilaj) is Associated Professor and Researcher at Faculty of Education, “Aleksandër Moisiu” University in Durrës. Her academic research interest is focus in Methodology of Teaching, Parental Engagement in Education, Community Empowerment, Curricula Assessment, Initial Teacher Education, and Teacher Professional Development. Ledia is the author of two books: “The competence of the teacher and student”, and “School and community”. Dr. Kashahu is the first-author of the national training module: “Learning and assessment culture in Albania” supported by EU founds and TEAVET and several modules of national trainings. She has also participated as expert in the evaluations of the initial teacher education curricula of pre-school and primary education teachers at the international level and currently leads a project for the evaluation of the curriculum of pre-school and primary education teachers at the Faculty of Education “Aleksandër Moisiu” University, Durrës, Albania. She has taken part in more than 80 international and national conferences and she is the author of more then 50 scientific articles published mainly in international journals. In 2016 she was given the award Researcher of the Year by the “Albanian Institute of Sociology” for publishing the book “School and community”.
