Educator, graduate of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (doctoral dissertation on Individual Study Strategies, post-doctoral degree based on the monograph Changes in teacher education, 1998). Since 2000, she has been associated with the Lower Silesian University, where she was vice-rector for scientific research and international cooperation in 2002 – 2014 and head of Pedeutology Department in 2000-2014, when she continued her research on paradigmatic change in the field of teacher education. Her research projects adopted a qualitative approach aimed at changing practice (see, e.g.: Research in action. Engaged pedagogy and anthropology, 2010; Educational research in action, 2013), at supporting teachers’ professional development (Teachers’ new professionalism, 2014), as well as at constructivism in school teaching (see: chapters in subsequent editions of Pedagogy. Academic Handbook eds. Z. Kwieciński B. Śliwerski (WN PWN). Recently, continuing cooperation with the Lower Silesian University, he has been expanding her focus on changing didactics at school (see, e.g.: the collective work From classroom pedagogy to inclusive pedagogy, 2018 and her monograph Expansion of learning? What about teaching?, 2021). Since 2012, editor-in-chief of a scientific journal “Forum Oświatowe”. Member of scientific associations (including International Studies of Cultural Activity Research). Since 2005, elected member of the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
