Prof. Agnieszka Cybal – Michalska

Professor Agnieszka Cybal – Michalska, is the Dean of the Faculty of Educational Studies, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Head of the Department of the Pedagogical Problems of Youth, Head of the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Member of the Presidium of the Main Board of the Polish Educational Research Association, Chairman of the Youth Education Committee at the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Member of the Center for European Research and Education. Her research and development interests are focused on social and pedagogical problems of youth. The complexity of these issues and interdisciplinary character of the way it is captured, is reflected in her research activity. Her interests also encompass issues concentrated on the European dimension of education and the evolution of education in global conditions. The following publications are the crowning of her theoretical studies and empirical works until now: Pro-European orientations of youth. Educational state and needs”  – main researcher; 2/  2003-2006: Grant of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, title: “The spectrum of problems of the global world from the perspective of youth.  The educational context of globalization”  – grant holder; 3/ 2014: Project in the framework of the Human Capital Operational Programme, title: “To learn – to understand – to experience. Practical preparation for the performance of the profession of early childhood education teacher” – researcher; 4/ 2015: project in the framework of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, title: “Educational and socio-cultural competences of contemporary teachers – educational course and web-site” – expert, 5/ 2016-2017: Project in the framework of the Human Capital Operational Programme, title: “Bet on development – growth of ICT skills as means of strengthening the position of adults, particularly aged 50+, on the labor market in the Piła County”; 6/ 2015: Project in the framework of the Human Capital Operational Programme, title: “Educational and socio-cultural competences of contemporary teachers – educational course and web-site”. In 2014, she was given Silver Cross of Merit by the President of the Republic of Poland. It was an award for her outstanding merits in building a civil society in Poland and for her achievements to promote European ideas.
