Aleksandra Żmuda and Dominik Maciąg Duo

Aleksandra Żmuda was born in Krakow. She graduated from Bronisław Rutkowski Music School in Krakow in the flute class led by prof. Renata Guzik. In 2024, she finished her bachelor’s studies at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, under the supervision of prof. Barbara Świątek-Żelazna, who is now continuing to be her mentor at master’s degree. In 2023, Aleksandra received “Młoda Polska” (Young Poland) Scholarship of the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage to cover the costs of her flute.She has many successes in national and international competitions on her account, among them: golden award at the V International Competition of Wind Instruments FINALIS 2023, platinum award at the European Summer Music Competition 2023, 1st place in the 8th Concours International de Jeunes Musiciens de Talent ,,NOUVELLES ETOILES”, 1st place at II International Viennese Spring Music Competition, 1st place at I Kyoto International Music Competition.
She has polished her skills during masterclasses led by such professors as: Barbara Świątek-Żelazna, Antoni Wierzbiński, Janos Balint, Ewelina Zawiślak, Agata Igras, Dejan Gavric, Nuno Inacio, Aldo Baerten, Philippe Bernold, Wally Hasse, Beatriz Macías, Jelka Weber.
Dominik Maciąg – accordionist born in Miechow, graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Music School in Krakow. He got his bachelor’s degree from the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, in the accordion class of prof. Wiesław Ochwat, and he continues his education in the Academy. He has already took part in many national and international competitions, like Musical Competition OPUS III (1st place), Accordion Competition in Ostrava (3rd place), musical competition POWER SUNRISE 2024 (3rd place).
He has trained during masterclasses led by such professors as: Claudio Jaccomucci, Georgio Delarolle, Vladimir Blagojević, Michael Bridge, Maciej Frąckiewicz, Joseph Petric, Mika Vayrynen.
